24.12.2007 - Junagadh (Gujarat) - Diu

Na Stedrej den jsme prejeli z Junagadhu vlakem do Veravalu, pak autobusem do Uny a dalsim busem do Diu (byvala portugalska kolonie u more), kde jsme asi hodinu a pul hledali hotel. Vsechno bylo diky vanocum strasne drahy. Nakonec jsme samozrejme uspeli, ale i tak padnul rekord.

Today we left Junagadh by train to Veravalwhere we took bus to Una and another bus to Diu (Portugase colony on the coast), where it took us about 1.5 hour to find suitable hotel. Unfortunatelly are holydays and every place is 3 time more expensive than usualy.

Diu je docela pohodovy misto. Myslel jsem, ze se zdrzim jenom 2 noci, ale vypada to, ze tu zustanu o neco dyl.

Diu je quitte nice place. I thought I'll be here only two nights, but it seems I'll be stay here a few more days.

Vcera se nam docela libilo na zapade ostrova Diu v male rybarske vesnicce Vanakbara a tak jsme rano vstali jeste DRIV nez vcera, abysme se tam dostali na zacatek rybiho trhu.
Zitra se presunu (pokud vstanu) do Palitan, kde pravdepodobne neni internet.

Yesterday I realy liked smal fisherman village of Vanakbara on west of the Diu Island so I wake up even EARLIER than yesterday to get there for beginning og fish market.
Tomorow (if I wake up) I will go to Palitana, where isn't probably I-net.

29.12.2007 - Palitana, Gujarat

Vcera jsme se se slzou v oku rozloucili s parkem americanu, se kteryma jsme projeli skoro celej Gujarat a presunuli se autobusem do Palitany, ktera je sama o sobe dost nezajimava Teda krome kopce leziciho vedle ni, na kterem je snad okolo 900 templu.
Po Girnar Hillu u Junagathu nas dnes neminul vystup na kopec lezici u Palitany. Schody i vyskovy prevyseni byly nizsi nez u Girnar Hillu. Taky lejtka se uz z minulyho vystupu vzpamatovaly a tak to vlastne byla brnkacka. Ani jsem si nemusel najmout "doli" (nositka) nebo holcicku, ktera by mela byt asi ve skole, ale ktera by mi za sto rupek vzala nahoru batoh.

Yesterday I splited with couple of Americans I travel with around Gujarat and by bus I moved to Palitana. Palitana itself is not too interesting place, but near of town is hill with around 900 temples.
Today I climbed the hill and saw the heavenly beauty of Jain temples. Well, heavenly beuaty it was for first few hours, after that i was a bit tired of all that beauty surrounding me.
Ascent was not too difficult, because I had one week time to heel my legs after climb on Girnar Hill, so it wasn't necessary tu rent dooly to carry me or little girl to carry my back pack wit camera.

31.12.2007 Baroda, Gujarat

Vcera se mi podarilo vstat ve velmi nekrestanskou hodinu a tim padem odjet autobusem z Palitany do Barody, kterou jsme si vecer trosku prosli.
Dnes jsme se s Jajou byli podivat v 50 km vzdalenem Champaneru, ve ktere je stare mesto zapsane v seznamu UNESCO a kopec, ktery je podle legendy cast Himalaje, kterou upustil buh Hanuman (doufam ze se nepletu), kdyz letel bojovat na Lanku (dnesni Sri Lanka)
V noci jedeme do Varanasi, kam bysme meli prijet az 2.1.2008 to znamena, ze se zase na par dni odmlcuju.
Vsem preju peknej Silvestr a Novej rok.

Yesterday I manage to wake up on ungodly very early hour so I could catch bus from Palitana to Baroda.
Today we were at Champaner (30 miles far from Baroda), where is old city record in UNESCO list and hill which according to legend is part of Himalaya which God Hanuman lost when he flew to fight to Lanka (we know it as Sri Lanka today).

02.01.2008 - Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Po 36 + 4 dalsich hodinach (zpozdeni) stravenych ve vlaku jsme dojeli do Varanasi, kde jsme se po mensim problemu s riksakama dopravili do hotelu a sli se podivat na vecerni ghaty (takovy ty schody do vody, vzdyt vite), kde se konala Ganga Puja (bohosluzba) s ohnema.

After 36 + 4 aditional hours (delay) in a train we finaly arrived at Varanasi, where after small problem with riksha wallas we got to our hotel, and went look on the ghats, where was Ganga Pooja with fire.

03.01.2008 - Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Na dnesek jsem si naplanoval projizdku na lodce okolo poloviny ghatu. Chvilku trvalo trojnasobne snizeni ceny, ale pak uz jsme si uzivali "lehkeho oparu" nad mestem, ktere skoro nebylo videt a pohupovani lodky.
Mimo jine mam taky naplanovano potkat se s Julianem - tim Julianem, se kterym jsem loni cestoval po Pakistanu, a kterej (lump) je porad jeste v Asii a nehodla svuj vylet jen tak skoncit (doufam, ze to nevyzni zavistive).

For today I have planed to take boat and ride around half of the ghats. It took while to get good price (three times les than they start), but after that we enjoy "light haze" abov e the city we almost didn't see and sway boat.
I also would like to meet my fellow traveler from the last year , who still travel in Asia and now is at Varanasi. And it seems he didn't want to finnish his trip yet ( I hope I don't sount jealously).

5.1.2007 - Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Porad jeste jsem ve Varanasi. Uzasny mesto. Vcera jsme projeli na lodce druhou polovinu ghatu a vecer jsem sel s Julienem a Carlosem (taky jsem ho potkal loni v Pakosi - svet je fakt malej) na koncert klasicke hudby v templu nedaleko reky. Sitarist uplne uzasne paril a jedna jeho zacka povidala, ze se mu rika Jimmi Hendrix sitaru.
Dnes jsme se byli s Jajou podivat v Sarnathu na Buddhisticky vykopavky.
A zitra po obede, kterej doufam stihnu nasedam do vlaku do Delhi, kde bude moje cesta koncit.

I'm still at Varanasi. It's amazing city. Yesterday I took boat around second half of a ghats and on evening I was with Julien on concert of classical Indian music at temple near the Ganges river. Sitarist was just amazing - I heard people call him Jimmy Hendrix of sitar.
Today I was at Sarnath where are Buddhist's excavations.
Tomorrow after lunch, I hope I will have time for it, I'll leave Varanasi for Delhi, where my trip will finish.

7.1.2008 - Dilli

Po ranu ve Varanasi, kde jsem se rozloucil s Julianem jsme chytili vlak do Dilli, kam jsme dorazili rano a bez zpozdeni, coz nas docela prekvapilo.
Po ubytovani se v hotelu jsme se sli podivat na Lodi Garden a Sarfanjunovu hrobku, ktera ma byt posledni vyznamnou mughalskou stavbou.

After morning at Varanasi, where I did say last hallo to Julian we managed to catch train to Delhi, where we got this morning (surprisingly) without delay.
At Delhi we went to see Lodi Garden (with tombs) and Sarfanjun's tomb, which is last big Mughal monument.

8. - 9.1.2008 - Delhi - ČR

Ještě v Díllí jsem se byl podívat na parádní Craft Muzeum, koupil kilo piklů (nakládaná zelenina) a večer se přesunul na letiště, odkud jsem odletěl téměř se rozpadajícím letadlem (docela děsivě v něm všechno při vzletu vrzalo a nedivím se, že cestující posádce po příletu do Moskvy zatleskali) do Moskvy a pak do Prahy, kde je strašná zima (-3 °C).

The last trip at Delhi lead me to nice Craft Museum with village feel, than I bought 1 kilo of pickles and on evening I went to airport where from I flow to Moscow in quite old aircraft (it was scary how it sounded when we took off) and then to Prague, where was bloody cold (-3 °C).
